A clock, such as a Kit-Cat Klock; was a device that was used to display time and measure time intervals.
They were commonly seen as watches on a person's wrist or hanging on a wall in a person's home.
Time intervals[]
As stated above, a clock measured time intervals, which referred to seconds, minutes and hours.
Second[]
A single second was the briefest time interval on a clock. There were sixty seconds in a minute and three-thousand six-hundred seconds in an hour.
Minute[]
A minute was made up of sixty seconds. There was sixty minutes in an hour and one-thousand four-hundred forty minutes in a day.
Hour[]
An hour was made up of three-thousand six-hundred seconds. There were also sixty minutes in an hour and there was twenty-four hours in a day.

Wonder Dog unplugged the clock at his house when he and Marvin White were under the impression that getting rid of such things would end the Energy Crisis.[2]
