- Photokinesis: He was able to manipulate light in a wide variety of ways.
- Light Absorption: Ray had the ability to absorb light, storing it for later uses.
- Molecular Reconstruction: Once his body absorbed sunlight, he could direct the energy to rearrange molecules into any form, matter or energy. This ability could also be used to convert his body into energy form.
- Flight: Just as light was capable of defying gravity, so too could Ray.
- Light Rays: The ability to project rays, beams, and bolts of destructive light. Required only minimum power and subliminal thought.
- Hard Light Constructs: A power to create constructs out of pure light similar to a Green Lantern's constructs. It required only minimum power and subliminal thought. Larger and more complicated manipulations of energy and matter required extended meditation and more power.

- Invisibility: He could bend the light surrounding himself, to make him invisible to the naked eye.
- Intangibility: While in his energy form, he was untouchable. If one was to shoot a bullet from a gun at him, the bullet would simply pass through him as though he were a ghost.
- Light Energy Healing: This process could be used to heal damage that his physical form had already sustained.
- Light Speed Flight: He was capable of flying at the speed of light, allowing him the ability of spaceflight with ease.
