An automobile, also called motor vehicle, was a type of vehicle common on Earth and other worlds. They often had wheels, and were typically powered by an internal combustion engine, which was fueled by gasoline.

Their were many types of motor vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and vans. In America, people registered their motor vehicles at their local Department of Motor Vehicles facilities.
